It is the policy of Greater Manchester Waste Limited to:

- Satisfy the requirements of our customers, both internal and external
- Train, communicate and consult with our workforce
- Make a positive contribution to our community
- Strive to achieve continuous improvement through quality objectives
The quality manual has been prepared with the authority of the managing
director and board of directors, who are committed to the policies, operation and maintenance
of the quality system. Standards of service shall be monitored by an active and co-ordinated
system for defect prevention and continuous improvement.
The company is committed to establishing quality objectives to enable continuous improvement
in service provision. The quality manual sets out procedures for setting and reviewing quality objectives.
The policies and procedures as contained within the quality manual are mandatory and shall
be strictly adhered to by all employees.
The quality system operational within the company and set down in the quality manual is
intended to comply with the latest issues of:
- BS EN ISO 9001: 2000 Quality Management Systems - Requirements
The requirements of the Manual shall apply to all civic amenity sites, processing plants,
transport, maintenance services and support functions.
All employees shall be aware of these policies which shall be kept under continued review.
This quality policy shall be reviewed continually to ensure its suitability and effectiveness.
